With countries adopting time zones and some nations playing around with daylight savings, we can see the effect that time has on society. Many cities even boast towers that house ornate clocks that gather tourists from around the globe. But these feats of engineering did not always exist to provide this service to the people, and our ancestors were once at the mercy of the sun.
