Kidnap in Tokyo
Following the suspension of the constitution,Kim Dae Jung moved to Japan,where he continued his attacks against Park. On 8 August 1973, he was having lunch at the Grand Palace Hotel in Tokyo with two of his politician friends.After the meal, the three were walking back to Kim's room on the twenty-second floor when they suddenly accosted by five Koreans. Two of them held Kim's friends while the other three pushed him into an adjoining room.

'Who are you,guys?' Kim asked,his pulseracing.
'Keep quiet!' one of them warned as he slammed the door shut.
